Outback Wrap, located in Faulkton, South Dakota was created by “Aussie” Dave Hedt, an Australian born entrepreneur. Dave grew up on a dryland farm outside of Dimboola, Victoria in Australia where he and his family farmed between 6,000-8,000 acres. He became a diesel mechanic and worked with Volvo and Mack Trucks. Coming to the US the first time in 2000 he migrated here permanently in 2012. Building a strip mall and then starting Walkabout Mother Bins in 2015. Then in 2018, what started out as a little side project exploded into the company now known as Outback Wrap.
Dave came up with the idea for Outback Wrap hydraulic hose markers after he got tired of the frustrations of hooking up and handling hydraulic hoses. Dave has found a solution for a problem in the agriculture industry that will help millions of farmers hook up their hydraulic hoses frustration free and more importantly "Make Hooking Up Easy"
Since 2018 Outback Wrap has continued to grow and expand. We went from 1 product to 2 products and now we have a full line of 5 products. In the last 2.5 years our company has grown because of our incredible customers and dealers worldwide. Thankful is an understatement.
We are so thankful to each and every one of you that has purchased our products, shared and/or liked our posts on social media and joined our unofficial clubs; the “I Wrapped My Hose & Hooked Up Easy Club” and the “Big Mother Lover Club”.
“I am thankful for all of our customers in both of my companies. My goal is to make famers lives easier and more efficient. Both of our products are based on helping farmers and the agriculture industry”-CEO Dave Hedt
We will continue to enhance product handling efficiency in agriculture with our Mother Bins and reduce the frustration of hydraulic hose handling and identification with Outback Wrap because we want to help improve the lives of farmers and ranchers worldwide.
The Outback Wrap and Walkabout Mother Bin team wishes you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Once again, thank you for your support of our company!
